Membership applications

If you would like to see your website alongside our members, then please read through the following information and get in touch.

Our criteria

Any applicant websites must satisfy all of the following criteria to become a member:

• Independent — They’re not owned by a third-party.
• Volunteer-run — Website staff do not typically receive pay for their work.
• Non- or less-commercial — If any profit is made, it does not significantly impact the user experience of the site.
• Design-focused — They value the principles of good design and embrace best practices such as web standards.
• Established — They’ve been around long enough to be trusted as reliable sources for videogames opinion. Eighteen months is the guideline minimum.

Some of these criteria are fairly straightforward, while others are subjective. For all applicants, we will outline exactly which criteria are met and which are not.

Associates

If your site satisfies some, but not all of our membership criteria, we will usually offer you Associate status. This means that you’ll get a link at the bottom of our membership page. Sites may also re-apply for full membership status at a later date.

Submitting your application

Please email us your application, including any information which will help us establish that you meet the criteria. We’ll get back to you as soon as we can, usually within a few weeks.
